Welcoming homeless strangers in need of that same hospitality, Abraham’s Tent is administered by Columbus House, a local organization that runs a 101-bed shelter on Ella T. Grasso Boulevard and aims for “understanding and working toward overcoming the problems which cause people to become homeless,” its website says.
